In third grade, students become more fluent readers and grow as creative, detailed writers. They dive into new stories with their classmates through monthly literature circles and engaging class read-alouds. In math, they build a strong foundation in multiplication and division and grow as independent problem solvers. They learn about the lives of the saints and have the unique opportunity to lead our school in the Living Stations of the Cross. Third graders are also growing in confidence, practicing empathy, and developing a strong sense of right and wrong. Their social personalities, thoughtful hearts, and enthusiasm for learning make third grade a special year — one filled with connection, curiosity, and lots of joyful learning!
