Who is your favorite Saint and why? St. Francis of Assisi had a deep love for God, people, and all of creation. I especially admire his love and kindness toward animals. St. Francis reminds me that we should appreciate and protect the world around us and show kindness to every living being. He lived a simple life, cared about others, and shared God’s love wherever he went.
Why do you like working in a Catholic school? Being a Catholic school teacher is a vocation! I love the strong sense of faith-centered community that is created by our teachers and families.
What is your favorite activity outside of work? I love planning and doing projects around the house. This gives me a great reason for a trip to HomeGoods!
What is your favorite children’s book? Way too many to list! But if I had to narrow it down... I would have to say "The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse" by Charlie Mackesy.
What is your favorite snack and beverage combo? Love these two separately: A Campfire Espresso Shaker and chocolate orange slices.
What is your favorite SVDP tradition? I love seeing the second graders receive their sacraments of First Penance/Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
When did you start working at St. Vincent de Paul? I have been blessed to be here for five years. This is my 29th year in Catholic schools and my 34th year teaching.
